Based on the comments in the prologue journal there's a new suggestion of strategy modification by ninebark which could be an interesting twist as to how we play with our opponents' perception. Some of you sound agree with the plan, some other like the original. I know it's still a long time before the real game but surely planning ahead for the solid strategy would be a great advantage, dontcha think? So I'm going to need a vote, please read this strategy comparison thoroughly, but if you've already got a gut instinct as to which will bring us victory by all means speak it right away.

1

WE ARE GHOST TIGERS

Just like my original plan, we're playing absolutely invisible until deadline day -1.

We are flying smoothly in the air, we're spying masterfully on our preys, our breath is sheer cold, bone-chilling wind.
Our gazes are invisible but surely cast dread on the back of enemies' necks and our attacks are mercilessly effective.

+

+ Imagine their faces from now when we're acting mysterious until later when we CRUSH them resulting in TOTAL ANNIHILATION!
+ The fun: hiding/holding our excitement, only replying enemies' comments/banters with emoticons (I'd suggest the ones expressing 'coolness' but also can be just anything you like really). :plotting: :shuffelin::happy:
Ciel - Hat pokemon gif gengar
+ High novelty, since I think this has never been done in the (short) history of (team-based) Critmas. I bet no one ever heard any team extremely transforming from zero to hero in one day.
+ Captain's personal vision: just seems like a eerily-neatly arranged formation, ooohh.. OH TEH HUMANITEE

-

- Total silence would potentially cause more panic and so the enemies might try even harder!  Yes, as we're moving in SILENCE others will soon figure it out as a deliberate plan, but still I personally love the atmosphere of deadly power.

WE ARE TIGERS IN KITTEN COSTUMES

ninebark's plan as stated:

"We could have a couple strong players on this team (the usual suspects most expected to succeed) and have them post their first 12 critiques sometime during the competition before Jan 5, and then go silent. And the rest should post something like, "Three critiques done, just a few more to go!" in the main journal comment section before going silent till Jan 5. No one is going to believe that you powerhouse critiquers are posting zero crits for the competition. It would cause more of a panic than a total of, let's say, 24 critiques. Then we just look like sleepy slackers stuck in low numbers. Brownie points for comments of "Omg, I'm so busy with family this year! I don't know if I'll make it to 12!" (except, you know, more like something we'd actually say.)"

For this I'm going to create a semi-false journal, basically an "accepting critiquables!" journal where we can submit our deviations open for critiques, also 'inviting' ALL the enemies to put theirs. While we're truly going to put artworks to be listed, the other teams would be very tempted to check this journal everyday - whereupon we put our false statuses!

+

+ Imagine their faces when they found they have been SOWRONG. in judging us!
+ The fun: misleading by posing as super-chill-super-lazy-uncommitted losers, and we can freely banter with the other teams (while still acting like kitties, or whatever that make us seem having so many obstacles/bad luck in writing crits).
+ Also still high novelty, since this year is most likely Critmas game is highly evolving (whoa am I that serious?? LOL) - I mean I don't think this also has really been done before.
+ The enemies will be more likely to loose their guards compared to the first plan. :meow: meowla

-  Just going to be less mysterious, kind of less of 'powerful/elite image' although no less deadly!

THAT'S ALL THE BIG PLANS, PLEASE CAST YOUR VOTE,

Which Of Enemies' Expression You'd LOOOOVE To See?

I personally choose No. 1, but I'm really open-minded.
Whichever the result, we'll be following it wholeheartedly!

Plan 1 :
IIIIII
Total: 6 of 9

Plan 2 :
II
Total: 2 of 9

IF you have another variations on these however, feel free to comment.~

UPDATE Dec 23

Even though the recruitment for new members is kept open as long as the game still on, I as the captain decided to finalize it today on December the 23th since the game will begin officially tomorrow on December the 24th.
I'm sorry for the new members, I hope you'll enjoy playing the strategy we've chosen. arrrr pirate

IN OTHER NEWS . .

Apparently we have different standings of what's considered fair/unfair regarding pre-written critiques (please check the prologue journal comments). While I'm not going to either encourage or forbid anyone doing it - remember it's NOT clearly stated in the game rules anyway - I'd say it's going to be okay if you don't surpass the last year record of craftsbyblue which is 150 crits. If she played fairly that would be 'only' 11 crits/day in 14 days, still VERY reasonable - for those who are new to the game you may check this last year final records: Critmas: The battle is over! (Results). So if your target is nothing near that (although as a greedy captain I'd love you to, huhuu.. :eager:) I don't think you need to worry. It's me who should be careful since my ambition is just OFF THE ROOF! :evillaugh: :omgomg:  LOL.

So, to compromise these opposing views, I suppose you're free to do the crits however, whenever the time frame you want it if your goal is less than that giant igloo.
But.. if you think of it.. you know..  for a 100-crits goal even if it's done during the game would only cost you 7 crits/day, ehm..
Pirate says PLEASE :D This is your captain begging..

Whichever the strategy, however you're doing it,
